The Hinseberg area is located on the outskirts of Frövi, about thirty kilometers northeast of Örebro, and consists of a prison and a detention center. It can be difficult to access Hinseberg by public transport on weekends. The area is approximately 1.5 kilometers walking distance from the nearest transport center. If you drive, you can park in our staff parking lot, which is close to the area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a chef who wants to make a difference!

As a chef at Hinseberg, you will be part of a team preparing meals primarily for clients and also for staff, where we have a dining room open Monday to Friday. The tasks include standard duties in a large kitchen, such as planning, providing food for breakfast, and preparing lunch and dinner. Your tasks will also include cleaning the kitchen facilities, dishwashing, and self-monitoring in accordance with applicable legislation. Preparation of diet food and other special diets is also included. The work is done in collaboration with staff in other functions. In the kitchen, you will also work alongside clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a chef, it is important that you are confident, stable, and self-aware. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. It is also important that you have good judgment, can work well with others, and take responsibility for your tasks.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Restaurant or large-scale kitchen education at the high school level or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Experience working in a large kitchen

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with self-monitoring
• Relevant language skills
• Experience working with special diets
• Driver's license (B)
